What are the main PB programs?

Parent Buddy: Our most successful program is matching parents who have been through the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) experience with parents of children currently in the NICU. These trained volunteers offer support to families at whatever level is comfortable to them, either at their bedside or over the phone.

Baja Night: Both hospitals offer evening events where food is donated for families to come and eat dinner for free. This is an opportunity to get information, connect with other parents or just relax for a while in a supportive environment. Food is graciously donated by Baja Fresh which is located at 11685 SW Barbur Blvd. #190, Portland, OR 97219 Telephone: 503.595.0399

  • Baja Night is the second Tuesday of every month from 7:00PM to 8:00PM at both hospitals.

If you have any questions, please contact the hotline number at (503) 244-3350.

Precious Beginnings Information and Support Line: Families or hospital staff can call the PB phone number requesting information or support for families. The hotline number is (503) 244-3350.

What are the other programs at PB?   PB is involved with Hospitality, Community Outreach, Committees, Special and Fundraising events. To run all of these programs, there are many ways we could use your help. Click here to read about our Volunteer Opportunities.
